Jakarta, 12 May 2012 – Blue Bird Group receive award from Museum Rekor Indonesia (MURI) as the first Taxi Company which use of Taxi Mobile Reservation (TMR) on BlackBerry smartphones. The award was handed over directly by Jaya Suprana founder of MURI to Purnomo Prawiro, President Director of the Blue Bird Group.

Jakarta, 12 May 2012. Celebrating the 40th years of Blue Bird Group and 15th years of Pusaka Group, Blue Bird Group handed over the first Blue Bird and Silver Bird Taxi to Indonesia Transport Museum at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. In addition, Blue Bird Group provided a display which contains Milestone Picture from Mei 1972 to present, taxi communication device from the old radio calling to GPS device, the first meter taxi device, crowns, and replica of Blue Bird and Silver Bird. We need to contributed to the nation especially for the younger generation. As a witness of Taxi History in Indonesia, we hope the long journey achievement of Blue Bird Group could be an inspiration and motivation for the next generation in Indonesia.

Tuesday, May 1st 2012 – 40 Years Blue Bird Group has serving my country with all the spirit of honesty, hard work, discipline, and the principle of kinship. Began with only 25 units of taxis, Blue Bird Group developed in the ebb and flow and the business expand is now sheltering more than 25,000 units of various fleet and more than 30,000 workers. Numerous awards from several agencies achieved by Blue Bird Group as proven of the accomplishments, both to the corporation, leadership, drivers and the employees. Until now the Blue Bird Group has received more than 80 pieces of awards.

Blue Bird Group participate in SINDO Green Action

During 23 -24 April 2012, Blue Bird Group has participated in trees planting event through several schools in Jakarta that organized by SINDO Media. The event that called Sindo Green Action was held to commemorate earth day. Ceremonial event was held at Hotel Grand Sahid Jaya, it was opened by the minister of forestry, Zulkifli Hasan and Hary Tanoesoedibjo from CEO MNC Group. Blue Bird Group received Plaque and award as a pioneer in indonesia greening, the award was represented by Riyanto Y Supotmo (Vice President Human Resources). The venue for trees planting is on SMU 70 Jakarta. The ministers and other guests are used Big Bird as the transporation to SMU 70 Jakarta and started planting with ‘sahabat pohon’ community.

On 24 April 2012, Blue Bird Group also joined on trees planting on SDN 08Tebet Utara. The Drivers was accompanied by head of SPPBBG (Serikat Pekerja Perusahaan Blue Bird Group) to plant a trees in the backyard of school. The activity was fully supported as well by the principal and students.
