Pusaka Banten enliven “Panjang Mulud” as a cultural preservation

In order to preserve the culture of the people of Indonesia who have noble values, and support tourism in Indonesia, Banten branch of the Blue Bird Group represented by Pusaka Banten, in collaboration with the Mayor’s Office of Tourism Serang, Banten province enliven culture event called ‘Panjang Mulud’ on February 7, 2013 at Serang city, Banten.

‘Panjang Mulud’ a salvation ritual performed by Islamic community in Banten in commemoration of the birthday of the Prophet Muhammad SAW. It is a celebration with bringing a variety of foods, ranging from cooked ready to eat, such as yellow rice complete with side dishes, eggs, meat stews and vegetables, to foodstuffs such as rice that are all arranged in a place called ‘Panjang’.
