Blue Bird Group has distinguished itself over the years by achieving awards for its contribution to tourism, for providing international standard services using local expertise, and for its operations management. Many of Blue Bird Group drivers have individually excelled themselves and achieved “Best Driver” awards in independently organized competitions by the Department of Tourism, the Traffic Regulation Board and the Ministry of Transportation. “Jakarta's Best Public Transport Driver” in 1992 and 1994 to 1997, and “Indonesia's Best Driver” in 1992 and 1996.

Driver Awards

More importantly part of Blue Bird company philosophy is to reward its outstanding drivers. Drivers are appraised monthly and exemplary performance is recognized in a quarterly ceremony and at the annual “Model Drivers Awards Ceremonies”. They receive certificates and prizes such as bicycles, radio-cassette players or savings accounts. Drivers who had surrendered to the depots any belonging that customers left in their cabs are also rewarded.
